Extended translational invariance and the tetrad theory of gravitation

Soviet Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

A tetrad theory of gravitation is derived systematically from the requirement of localization of the group of translations. It is shown that when the sources of the gravitational field are chosen in the form of the total canonical energymomentum tensor of the nongravitating matter this gauge theory is identical with the previously formulated tetrad theory of gravitation in a space of absolute parallelism.
