Glow discharge mass spectrometry-a powerful technique for the elemental analysis of solids

  • Published:
Microchimica Acta Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Abstract

A high resolution glow discharge mass spectrometer for the elemental analysis of solids is described. The analytical performance is reviewed and results are presented on a wide range of materials illustrating elemental and concentration coverage, quantitation and detection limits. Comparisons with other techniques are made.
