Conclusion
-
1.
Symmetry of cholinesterase activity was found in tissues of paired structures of the cortical area of the cutaneous analyzer and also the parietal cortex of the human brain. Conversely, asymmetry is found in the motor cortex and, to some extent also, in tissues of the frontal region of the human brain.

2.
The principles of distribution of cholinesterase activity and acetylcholine concentration in symmetrical cortical centers revealed by these experiments are evidently one component of the mechanism responsible for paired and asymmetrical activity of zones of the human cerebral cortex.
