Summary
-
1.
The vinyl ether of 3-(diethylmethylsilyl)-1-propanol was synthesized by a modification of the Favorsky-Shostakovsky method.
-
2.
A study was made of the reactions of the vinyl ethers of 3-(trimethylsilyl)- and 3-(diethylmethylsilyl)-1-propanol with water, organic and organosilicon alcohols, and organic acids.
-
3.
3-(Diethylmethylsilyl)-1-propanol, its vinyl ether, four organosilicon acetals, and three acylals were prepared for the first time.
-
4.
It was shown that, under similar conditions, the vinyl ether of 3-(diethylmethylsilyl)-1-propanol and organosilicon acetals and acylals are hydrolyzed with greater difficulty than their organic analogs.
