Note on tensile rupture times in superplastic alloys

Bemerkung über Zerreißbruchzeiten in superplastischen Legierungen

Summary

UsingHoff's criterion, the theoretical value of rupture time of a superplastic bar under a constant load is obtained. The constitutive equation of isothermal superplasticity is taken from the result of recent research in metallurgy. A specific example is given.

Zusammenfassung

Unter Benützung desHoffschen Kriteriums wird die theoretische Bruchzeit eines superplastischen Stabes bei konstanter Last errechnet. Die Materialgleichung der isothermen Superplastizität stammt aus kürzlich erhaltenen Ergebnissen der metallurgischen Forschung. Ein spezifisches Beispiel wird angegeben.
