Summary
-
1.
The hydrolysis of trichloro(chlorophenyl)silanes in acid and alkaline media was investigated, and it was shown that no elimination of chloro-, dichloro-, trichloro-, tetrachloro-, or pentachloro-phenyl group occurs.
-
2.
The hydrolysis of dichloro(chlorophenyl)ethylsilanes in acid and alkaline media was investigated, and it was shown that no elimination of the ethyl group or of the mono-, di-, tri-, or tetra -chlorophenyl group occurs.
