Summary

  1. 1.

    A number of polycyclic compounds, containing the 4-piperidone nucleus condensed with cyclohexane, cyclopentane, and decalin, have been synthesized. Some of the compounds obtained contain angular methyl groups.

  2. 2.

    It has been shown that the method developed in our laboratory for the synthesis of 4-piperidones from vinylallylketones and ammonia and primary amines is applicable to the preparation of the most diverse polycyclic compounds with condensed 4-piperidone nuclei.
