Summary
-
1.
A classification and nomenclature for the low-molecular-weight organosilicon compounds are proposed.
-
2.
The names of the simplest (first) compounds in a given class are proposed as a basis for naming low-molecular weight organosilicon compounds. The silicon hydrides are used as fundamental substances in the classification, and all other compounds are regarded as derivatives of these.
