Summary
-
1.
The crystallization coefficients have been determined for the distribution of radium between a salt melt and and barium chloride crystals and between a salt melt and lead chloride crystals.
-
2.
It has been shown that in these two systems, as in previously studied systems in which radium is distributed between the melt and salts isomorphous with the corresponding radium salts, no enrichment of the solid phase in radium occurs.
-
3.
It has been shown that the closeness in chemical properties of radium and barium is preserved at high temperatures.
