Reactions of diene hydrocarbons with nitroso-compounds addition of buta-1,3-diene to p-nitrosotoluene

Summary

  1. 1.

    The reaction between p-nitrosotoluene and buta-1,3-diene has been studied.

  2. 2.

    It has been shown that buta-1,3-diene adds on to p-nitrosotoluene according to the diene synthesis, to yield 2-p-tolyl-3,6-dihydro-orthoxazine.
