Abstract
Carbocyclic and heterocyclic compounds of the bicyclo[2.2.1]-heptane, 6-oxabicyclo[3.2.1]octane, and 3-azabicyclo[3.3.1]-nonene series were obtained from the reaction between 1, 2, 4-trimethyl-4-isopropenylcyclohexene (a dimer of 2, 3-dimethyl-buta-1, 3-diene) and CH3CN in the presence of H2SO4 which was accompanied by intramolecular cyclization.
