Patty Wolcott received her M.A. in childhood education from Teachers College, Columbia. She has taught in schools from the Bahamas to Massachusetts. While teaching kindergartners at Teachers College, she began developing herFirst Read-By-Myself series. She has been an editor in both the elementary textbook and children's book fields but now devotes her full time to writing.
