Strength of Materials Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The strength characteristics of alloy TsAM 4-1 in fan castings are lower than the values given in the literature, which can be explained by the coarse-grained structure and contamination with nonmetallic inclusions, especially from the mold lubricant used in pressure casting.

  2. 2.

A relationship was found between the low-cycle fatigue limit σ−1 b in the range of 105-108 loading cycles and the tensile strength σb in the range of 22–32 kgf/mm2 expressed by empirical formula (1).
