Walter L. Strandburg teaches in the Department of Counseling and Personnel Services and serves as Director of the Counselor Training Center at the University of Colorado at Denver. He is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.

She teaches courses in children's literature, young adult literature, and storytelling.
