Abstract

The experimental results of measurements of the radiation parameters of a high-temperature air flow are discussed. The temperature, electron density, and absorption coefficient are measured by spectral methods. The presence of local thermodynamic equilibrium in the plasma is demonstrated. The measured spectral absorption coefficient of the plasma for T = 8500 °K in the wavelength range 0.26–0.9 μ is compared to the calculated values.
