Reflections on being in care: A demonstration of youth empowerment

Abstract

Youth in group care settings developed a booklet presenting young people's opinions about the service system in which they were involved, its impact on their lives, and how they would change it if they could. The background and the response are presented, and the subsequent evolution of an ongoing organization of youth in group care is described.
