Uneven distribution of banded fertilizer nitrogen in the field related to computer modelling

Abstract

A model was developed to describe the distribution of mineral nitrogen when applied in a fertilizer band, taking into account nitrification and diffusion. Good agreement was found between the calculated values and those measured in a field experiment.
