Summary
Limonin degradingRhodococcus fascians was immobilized by entrapment in alginate, k-carrageenan, agarose and polyacrylamide gels. Except this latter, gels were used both with and without polyethyleneimine treatment followed by glutaraldehyde crosslinking. Coated derivatives showed lower activity and stability and higher diffusional limitations that uncoated ones. Immobilized cells in k-carrageenan gave, globally, the best results.
