Abstract
The characteristics of a periodically-illuminated CPW phase shifter are investigated by the spectral domain approach combined with the cascaded transmission line matrix method. It is found that the phase shifter characteristics can be improved by appropriate use of periodic illumination instead of uniform illumination.
