Abstract
The isolation, identification, and synthesis of volatile compounds from the interdigital gland of reindeer (Rangifer t. tarandus L.) are reported. Two of the major constituents have been identified as 1-hydroxy-7-methyl-3-octanone and 7-methyl-1-octen-3-one.
