Conclusions

The moiré effect, which appears as a result of the superposition of the nondeformed reference grid and the deformed grid, makes it possible to establish the points characterized by equal displacement. The method based on the initial angular displacement of the grids can be used for determining the strain field with the assigned degree of accuracy.
