Metrological certification of measurements of gas-flow parameters

  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Abstract

Results are presented from scientific-research and design work done to develop standard pressure gauges for low and high gasflow rates and to certify gauges for determining dynamic pressure at low subsonic velocities, total and staticpressure gauges for determining Mach numbers within the range O.3–4.0, and totalpressure gauges for determining subsonic and supersonic velocities. Some of the gauges described here have been made part of state and reference standards for determining air flow velocity in meters per second. The information in this article was part of a report delivered at the conference devoted to the 75th anniversary of TsAGI (N. E. Zhukovsky Central Institute of Aerohydrodynamics).
