Conclusions
-
1.
A palladium carbonyl-hydride complex is obtained upon reduction of palladium acetate in the presence of triphenylphosphine and dilute perchloric acid in n-butanol.
-
2.
Reduction of palladium acetate in acetone gives tris(triphenylphosphine)monohydridopalladium perchlorate.
-
3.
Both of these complexes are able to catalyze the reduction of nitrobenzene by carbon monoxide.
