Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

Various types of nitro compounds may be reduced to the corresponding amines by carbon monoxide and water in the presence of palladium acetate and a tertiary aromatic phosphine.

  2. 2.

A catalytically active complex, [HPd2(PPh3)4(CO)(HSO4)]4 was isolated.
