Conclusions

Important reversible high-temperature chemisorption of h2, where the degree is a function of the concentration of applied Re, the type of carrier and the starting Re(VII) compounds, is observed on Re catalysts reduced with H2 at 500‡C. There are two regions of thermal desorption of H2; I — 70–400‡C, and II — 500–800‡C. It is expedient to use the value of the desorption of form I for dispersion estimations.

In hydrogenation of benzene, it was shown that the activity of applied Re reduced with H2 at 500‡C is a function of the strength of the bond of the chemisorbed H2 and is virtually not correlated with the value of the specific surface area of the metal.
