Conclusions
-
1.
An ESR study of phosphonylthio-substituted thioethyl radicals indicated the favored conformations and gave the barriers and enthalpies of the transitions between these conformations.
-
2.
A synchronous mechanism was proposed for the rotation of the hindered methyl and thiophosphonyl groups in the conformational transitions in these radicals.
