Reaction of sulfur chlorides with hexafluoropropylene in the presence of fluorosulfonic and chlorosulfonic acid

Conclusions

In the reaction of sulfur chlorides with hexafluoropropylene in the presence of halosulfonic acids products of conjugated electrophilic addition are produced. Bis[(β-halosulfonyloxy)hexafluoroisopropyl] trisulfides are formed as a result of the reaction of 2-(chlorodithio)hexafluoropropyl halosulfates with halosulfonic acids.
