Conclusions
-
1.
An effective reduction of halogen-containing hydrocarbons at the C-Hal bond was carried out by means of i-Bu2AlH in the presence of catalytic amounts of Ti, Zr, and Hf complexes.
-
2.
A partial transformation of halobenzenes and bromocyclohexane into hexane by the action of i-Bu2AlH and catalytic amounts of Cp2TiCl2 under mild conditions was noted for the first time.
