Conclusions
-
1.
The radical anion of nitrobenzene is prepared by reacting atomic sodium with nitrobenzene in a nitrobenzene matrix at 77°K.
-
2.
For the first time, the complete IR spectrum of the crystalline nitrobenzene radical anion has been measured in the 400–3800 cm−1 range.
