Conclusions

Alkylβ,β-dichlorovinyl ketones react with semicarbazide and thiosemicarbazide to form hydrazones, while arylβ,β-dichlorovinyl ketones react with semicarbazide to form previously unknown N-carbaminopyrazoles.

The reaction of methylβ, β-dichlorovinyl ketone with hydrazine yields 3-methyl-5-(3′-methyl-5′-chloropyrazolyl)pyrazole.
