Synthesis of biologically active hydrazones and substituted pyrazoles from β, β-dichlorovinyl ketones

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Alkylβ,β-dichlorovinyl ketones react with semicarbazide and thiosemicarbazide to form hydrazones, while arylβ,β-dichlorovinyl ketones react with semicarbazide to form previously unknown N-carbaminopyrazoles.

  2. 2.

    The reaction of methylβ, β-dichlorovinyl ketone with hydrazine yields 3-methyl-5-(3′-methyl-5′-chloropyrazolyl)pyrazole.
