Conclusions

The major products of the reaction of the disodium salt of 2,4-dimercapto-6-methylpyriniidine with α,ω-dibromoalkanes are 2,4-bis(ω-bromoalkylthio)-6-methylpyrimidines and trimacrocyclic compounds.
