377. Synthesis of 3-borahomoadamantane complexes

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    3-Borahomoadamantane was obtained from tetrahydrofuran-1-boraadamantane and trimethylammonium methylide as the complex with trimethylamine, tetrahydrofuran, and pyridine.

  2. 2.

    The acidolysis of trimethylamine-3-borahomoadamantane gave cis-5-ethyl-1, 3-dimethylcyclohexane.

  3. 3.

    3-Homoadamantanol was synthesized by the carbonylation of tetrahydrofuran-3-borahomoadamantane with CO.
