Heterocyclizations of α-heteroatom-substituted organoboronates (microreview)

  • Published:
Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds Aims and scope

Heterocyclizations of boronates bearing a heteroatom-containing substituent at the α-position are reviewed. Synthesis of heteroaromatic boronates by heterocyclizations of nitrogen- and oxygen-containing compounds (e.g., aldehydes, ketones, or epoxides) bearing a boronate moiety, as well as preparation of (partially) saturated heterocyclic derivatives via metathesis reactions are discussed.
