Conclusions

A new method was developed for the synthesis of biscyclopentadienylzirconium(IV) hydroalumohydride, Cp2Zr(H)AlH by the reaction of Cp2Zr(BH4)2 with LiAlH4.

The addition of up to three BH3 groups at Al-H and Zr-H bonds is observed in the reaction of Cp2Zr(H)AlH4, with diborane, depending on the reaction conditions.
