Synthesis of polyfunctional mono- and dipyridines using complex cobalt catalysts

Conclusions

Novel polyfunctional α,ω-mono- and dlpyridines have been synthesized via the reactions of O- and S-containing dinitriles with acetylene in the presence of a Co(2-ethylhexanoate)2-AlEt3 catalyst system.
