Conclusions

On the example of the electrolysis of chlorotrinitromethane at a controlled potential it was shown that the reduction of chloropolynitro compounds can proceed simultaneously along two directions in the first step, with a cleavage of both the C -N and the C -Cl bonds.

The principal rules for the first step of the reduction ofα-halonitroalkanes were discussed.
