Conclusions
-
1.
The direct participation of surface SiCln compounds in the formation of methylchlorosilanes was confirmed experimentally.
-
2.
The partial chlorination products of silicon on the surface of the contact mass are centers for the activation of CH3C1, on which its decomposition and the formation of methyltrichlorosilane take place in the thermal direct synthesis process (without a copper catalyst).
-
3.
It was experimentally shown that the formation of methyltrichlorosilane in the thermal direct synthesis process is accompanied by a regeneration of surface compounds of the SiCln type, i.e., the synthesis process bears a chain character.
