Conclusions
-
1.
Absorption spectra have been obtained for 3-hydroxyphenoxyl and 5-methyl-3-hydroxyphenoxyl radicals. Rate constants for the recombination of these radicals have also been obtained.
-
2.
These radicals are oxidized by Cu2+ ions. Absorption spectra have been obtained for the intermediate complex, and rate constants for the electron-transfer reaction calculated.
