Conclusions

The kinetics of the photoinduced formation and destruction of peroxide radicals {RO .2 } of polystyrene in the liquid phase was studied by the ESR method.

A formula was proposed for the determination of the rate constant of quadratic destruction of RO .2 in the interval from 10 to −75°.

3.
The kinetic principles of the accumulation of {RO .2 } were explained considering cross recombination of peroxide and alkyl radicals; the ratio of the rate constants of reactions of the type of R. + O2 and R. + RO .2 was estimated according to the experimental data.
