Conclusions

Absorption spectra and an internal photoeffect have been observed and studied (lux-ampere relation, kinetics, photoconduction spectrum) in copper heteroorganic acetylenides of the (RXC=CCu)x type with X=S, O, CH2; R=Alk, Ar.

Forbidden-band energies for the various copper organoacetylenides were determined from the absorption and photoconduction spectra, the values obtained falling in the 2.1–2.7 eV range.
