Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

Kinetic equations have been obtained for electron-transfer tunnel reactions in the presence of an external electric field.

  2. 2.

Experimental literature data on the effect of the electric field on the kinetics of tunnel destruction of trapped electrons through counterion reactions in photoexcited 3-methylpentane containing added tetramethyl-paraphenylenediamine have been analyzed and the spatial distribution of the reacting particles reconstructed.
