Conclusions

Aminopolysaccharides with a degree of substitution at the amino groups of 0.55–0.92 were synthesized from keto-6-0-tritylcellulose by reduction of its oxime with LiA1H4 or B2H6 or reduction of the methyloxime by B2H6 and their structure was studied.

Oxidation with dimethyl sulfoxide of 6-0-tritylcellulose proceeds by ∼75% at the 2-C atom.

Strict stereoselectivity of reaction at 2-C or 3-C atoms is not observed during reduction of oxime groups with LiA1H4, or B2H6 and of methyloximes by B2H6.
