With respect to reactivity, the amines investigated can be arranged in the following series: HOC2H4NH2 >(CH3)3 SiOC2H4NH2> C2H5NH2> > (C2H5)2 NH > C6H5NH2> (C2H5) (C6H5) NH With respect to rate of reaction with amines, (chloromethyl)ethoxysilanes can be arranged in the following series: ClCH2 (CH3)2 SiOC2H5 > ClCH2CH3Si (OC2H5)2 > ClCH2Si (OC2H5)3

Two new organosilicon amines were prepared: N-[(ethoxydimethylsilyl)methyl]ethylamine and N-[(diethoxymethylsilyl)methyl]ethylamine.
