Summary
-
1.
Twenty-six C12- C16 monomethylalkanes were synthesized and their properties were described.
-
2.
From the results obtained the relationships holding between the crystallization points of these hydrocarbons were established, and it is suggested that the crystallization of monomethylalkanes proceeds with formation of structures based on the shortest main carbon chain present in the molecule.
