A study was made of the copolymerization of methyl acrylate with butyl vinyl ether in presence of various amounts of initiator.

Increase in the initiator content of the reaction mixture results in reduction of the molecular weight of the copolymer, but does not affect its composition and yield.

The nature of the initiator has no effect on the compositions and yields of copolymers of methyl acrylate and butyl vinyl ether.
