Conclusions

The reactions of N-(hydroxymethyl)acetamide and of N-(hydroxymethyl)benzamide with trimethyl, triethyl, tripropyl, and tributyl phosphites and with diethyl phosphorochloridite were studied.

In these reactions the corresponding (acetamidomethyl)- and (benzamidomethyl)-phosphonic esters are formed.
