Conclusions

  1. 1.

The behavior of ultrasmall amounts of indium on stationary mercury electrodes with gold, silver, and platinum contacts was studied using the method of dispersion analysis.

  2. 2.

A substantial influence of the concentration of the element to be determined and of the contact metal upon the height of the anodic peak of indium was established.

  3. 3.

An electrode with a silver contact is more suitable for determining low concentrations of indium by the method of amalgam polarography with accumulation than are the other electrodes used.

  4. 4.

The linear nature of the dependence of the height of the peak of indium upon the time of accumulation in the determination of indium on an electrode with a silver contact was established.
