Abstract
Mössbauer spectra of samples of catalysts used in the industrial production of ammonia have been obtained. The differences in the relations of the intensities of the gammaresonance lines, stipulated for iron in tetrahedric and octahedric coordinations in the magnetite lattice, the presence of quadrupole splitting and additional lines stipulated probably for the presence of ferrites have been analyzed. Some possibilities for studying the influence of the promotors by means of Mössbauer spectroscopy have been discussed.
