Abstract
A study was made of the effect of lithium oxide impurity on the properties and efficiency of radiation-induced formation of F-aggregate centers in lithium fluoride crystals. It was established that oxygen ions alter the luminescence characteristics and enhance the thermal stability of F +2 and F +3 centers. The variation of the ratio between F2, F +2 , and f +3 centers is associated with changes in the degree of aggregation of O2−- V +a dipoles.
