Abstract
The energetic, spectral, and time characteristics of a high pressure CO2 laser at high pumping level are studied. It is shown that in the free generation regime high power radiation pulses R~ 10−8 sec in duration with a multifrequency spectrum can be obtained. Laser output characteristics are presented as functions of gas pressure, pumping energy, and resonator parameters.
